Wie heeft niet gehoord van Teched, de prachtige events van Microsoft met technische uitleg over verschillende producten en onderdelen van de IT.

Group policy preferences item level targeting 32-bit en 64-bit

Group policy preferences is een van de beste dingen die Microsoft in jaren verzonnen heeft. Eigenlijk kun je er alles mee en vervangt het logon scripts totaal.

In de huidige periode waarin er veel 32-bit en 64-bit systemen bestaan is het soms echter wel handig om een preference speciaal voor een van de soorten systemen te maken.

Hiervoor gebruik je item lever targeting. Middels een filter op de environment variable is het heel eenvoudig om de twee proccessor architecturen te filteren.
Maak daarom een filter op environment variable en gebruik de volgende methode om te filteren tussen 32 en 64 bit.

voor x64 de environment variable %Processor_Architecture% is AMD64
